Touristenfahrten: public sessions on the Nordschleife, 12.9 miles, 154 corners, a lap ticket at Döttinger Höhe. It is a toll road with circuit furniture, not a race. Normal traffic law applies. No timing. Crash damage is not covered by ordinary UK insurance — believe the seasonal line; call your insurer before you leave, in writing if you can. First laps are sightseeing at a pace that lets you learn where the Karussell and the trees are. Pistenklause is food; Tankstelle Döttinger Höhe is fuel; Nürburg village and the castle sit above.

Check the calendar. Sessions get cancelled, packed, or both. A hotel in Adenau is the practical base. Do not arrive with a hired track-day attitude and a road-car policy.

This is a club pilgrimage because it is open to a road car. Treat it as a very fast, very expensive B-road with Armco, and come home with the same car you took.

If you want a photograph, the castle and the paddock fences will do. The track is not a place to stop. Session times change; the website on the morning is the source, not a forum post from 2019. Bikes and cars mix. There is no shame in one lap and a coffee. Adenau has the beds and the garages; Nürburg has the castle photograph. If your insurer says no, that is the end of the plan — there is no clever interpretation of "track". Fill at Döttinger Höhe before you go out; a splash-and-dash on a hot session is how people do something stupid. Touristenfahrten is public road with a ticket, which is why timing gear is not a grey area.
