Before you go: ⚠ Closed by snow roughly Nov–May. Glarus side (Richisau–Klöntal) is closed to motor traffic on Saturdays and Sundays — weekend crossings are only possible from the Muotathal side up to the summit. Narrow single-track with passing places; 3.5 t limit, no trailers.
One of Switzerland's wildest paved passes: a strip of single-track climbing out of the Muota valley to 1,548 m, then dropping past Richisau and along the turquoise Klöntalersee to Glarus. Remote, raw and utterly memorable — plan around the weekend ban.
Highlights of the Pragel Pass
- Klöntalersee lakeside finale
- Genuine single-track challenge
- Suworow's 1799 crossing country
