Three days around Kranjska Gora and Bovec. Vršič is fifty numbered hairpins, half of them cobbled; Predil comes in from Tarvisio; Mangart is the dead-end toll shelf to 2,055 m. Worth knowing: Vršič and Mangart close in winter, typically into May or June. Mangart is a toll, a dead-end, and last fuel is in Bovec — five miles back from Log pod Mangartom.
