Lisbon Coast to Sagres
3 days · 3 driving roads · 112 miles of them · best April–June, September
The west edge. Sintra and Cabo da Roca on the N247, Arrábida's coast road from Sesimbra to Setúbal, then the Costa Vicentina from Sines down to Sagres. Three days of Atlantic, overnight in Sesimbra or Setúbal, then Vila do Bispo or Sagres. Overnight in Sesimbra or Setúbal, then Vila do Bispo or Sagres. Three days of Atlantic, and August on the Algarve end is slow.
Getting there
⛴ Plymouth – Santander — Brittany Ferries, about 20 h, weekly+. Check sailings.
Worth knowing: Cabo da Roca is a coach park; the N247 either side of it is the drive. Arrábida has seasonal access rules and a park speed limit — check before July. Costa Vicentina is 75 miles of N120, not a corniche the whole way; the good bits are the spurs to the cliffs. Fuel in Cascais, Setúbal and Sines. August on the Algarve end is slow. Pairs naturally after the N2 trip if you have the fortnight.
