Pyrenees: Tourmalet to Envalira

West to east along the spine. Tourmalet and Peyresourde are the Tour de France pair in the Hautes-Pyrénées; then along to Collada de Toses on the N-260 and Port d'Envalira, Europe's highest Pyrenean through-road, into Andorra. Five days with a night in Luz or Bagnères-de-Luchon, then Puigcerdà or Andorra. Worth knowing: This is not four cols in a day — there is a day's connecting across the central Pyrenees between Luchon and the Cerdanya. Tourmalet and Peyresourde typically open in May or June; check the départements. Envalira is open all year but the 2,408 m col is a snow road; the tunnel is the winter option. Andorra is cheap fuel — fill on CG-2 in Escaldes before the climb, not down on CG-1. Breathalyser kit in France. The existing Picos & Pyrenees trip is the Spanish/Aubisque line; this is the other chain.
